Sharks: Misunderstood Monsters of the Deep
By Marshall Jones
There are many misunderstandings about sharks that are going around these days. In this article I want to educate you, the reader, about some of those misunderstandings. But first, I need to introduce you to some technical terms about these famous sea beasts. First sharks can be divided into two types:
1. Big
2. Small
Big sharks include monsters like the great white and tiger shark. However, the tiger shark is not really a tiger. That's just his name. Small sharks are often called "babies" and include electric eels and barracudas. Sharks can be further "subdivided" into two more groups:
A. Mean
B. Evil
Just because a shark is mean, it doesn't mean he is evil. Sometimes it is because he is small and he has been picked on by the big sharks. However, some day he will probably become evil.
Sharks favorite sport is killing. They kill just for fun and bathe in the blood of the dead animal. You can see from the evil in their eyes that they are always thinking about killing, as the picture below illustrates. Some say that they are so angry because they are not as smart as the dolphins. One thing is for certain: Humans know to fear and hate these animals becuase of their evil eyes, just like snakes and lizards.

However, contrary to popular belief, sharks don't only eat humans. What they eat is called a "diet", but not a diet like Weight Watchers. The shark "diet" also includes baby seals, dolphin babies, penguins, puppies, and other good creatures. Sharks think they are delicious and fun to destroy.
In summary, sharks are:
1) evil
2) greedy
3) mean
4) don't share
5) bad for the enviroment
Good people that hunt sharks are called "shark hunters." They kill sharks to make the oceans safer for children and baby seals. So, the next time you're swimming watch out for these "Sea Devils", because they are tired of being misunderstood and they will most likely try to kill you for it.
